How does AtoZ gigs work?AtoZ gigs is a peer-to-peer gig sharing platform that connects users to get service jobs done. As a customer, or "Gig Giver", when you need any work done, you simply add the gig at your preferred price and schedule,and then wait to receive bids. Then any other user in the area can see the gig, and become the service provider, or "Gig Taker". Afterwards, payment is handled securely within the app, and you can rate the users.

The majority of AtoZ gigs users are neighbors living in your area, who either need a helping hand, or are willing to use their skills to help out the community. Anyone age 18 and up can sign up and use the platform.

Gig Giver and Gig Taker
What is "Gig Giver" and "Gig Taker"?The Gig Giver is the customer who is looking to get any work done. The Gig Taker is the service provider who takes and completes the work.
Qualifications are based on ratings and reviews. Background checks are done on all Gig Takers.
Yes, we use a trusted third party to perform background checks for all Gig Takers.

Manage Your Gigs
How do I add a gig?In order to add a gig, you must be signed up and logged in to the app. Also, you must have a valid credit or debit card on file. There are two ways to add a gig. First, click on any category, then click “I need work done.” This will take you to the “Add Gig” page. Second, you can click on Add Gig (+) directly in the bottom navigation, which will also take you to the same “Add Gig” page. Next, fill out the required fields to submit the gig. After the gig is submitted, it will be displayed on the “Explore” page, and you will receive bids and be contacted by Gig Takers. Please allow time for Gig Takers to reach out to you.
The "Explore" page offers a single common view of gigs for all users. There is both a map view and list view of all the open gigs that Gig Givers have added. By default, the map view is displayed. Click on the list view icon to switch to the list view. Map view: You may zoom in/out and move the map around. Your location is displayed as a blue dot. All the active gigs are displayed as green dots, and the in-progress gigs are displayed as red dots. To view more details about the gig, click on the dot and select the gig to open the gig details. For any active gig, anyone can either "Take It" and submit a bid, or "Talk It" and start a chat with the Gig Giver. You cannot bid for an in-progress gig, but you can still post a comment on that gig. List view: List view works the same way as the map view. For any active gig, anyone can either "Take It" and submit a bid, or "Talk It" and start a chat with the Gig Giver. You cannot bid for an in-progress gig, but you can still post a comment on that gig.
A number in the map view simply means that there is more than one gig posted at a single location. Click on the number and scroll through to view multiple gigs.
Yes, you can search for a specific category in the search bar. You can search on both the Categories home page as well as on the "Explore" page. If you are not able to find your specific category, then you can create your own category.
For any gig, you can add to "Favorites". Simply click on the heart icon. To view all Favorites, go to "Profile" > "Gig History" > "Favorites"
Yes! If you added a gig by mistake, or changed your mind about the gig, then you can delete the gig at any time. Simply open the gig details, and click on the trash icon.
Yes! You can edit your gig by opening the gig details page, and clicking on the pencil icon. However, a gig cannot be edited after a bid has been accepted and is in-progress.
Yes! Go to "Profile" > "Gig History". From there, you can see all of your recently viewed gigs, as well as your favorites.
Location is approximated to protect the Gig Giver’s privacy. Once a bid is accepted, the exact gig location will be displayed only to the Gig Taker whose bid has been accepted.
Before you bid for a gig, you must have a valid photo ID on file. To check this, go to “Profile” > “Edit Profile” > “Upload Photo ID”. Also, you must have a valid bank account number on file, to receive payment. There are two ways to bid for a gig. First, click on any category, then click “I’m looking for work.” This will take you to the “Explore” page. Or, you can go to the “Explore” page directly from the bottom navigation, to view all active gigs. Then open the gig details and simply click on ‘Take It’ to bid, or click on ‘Talk It’ to start a chat with the Gig Giver.
You will receive a notification that the Gig Giver has accepted your bid. If you have a new notification, a red number will appear on the bell icon. To access notifications, click on the bell icon. Also, you will receive email notifications. If you are not receiving push notifications, then go to "Profile" > "Edit Profile" > "Push Notifications" and turn on the toggle. If you are not receiving email notifications, check your Spam email.
We’re sorry your bid was rejected. It is likely because the Gig Giver went with another bid from a different Gig Taker.
Gig Takers can only bid for a gig that is in active status. You can still post a comment on the in-progress gig.
The top three bids will be displayed on the Gig details screen. If a gig has more than three bids, then click on ‘View All’ to see all bids.
Gig Takers can contact the Gig Givers by using the chat feature. Simple click on ‘Talk It’ to start a chat.
Payments
How do I make a payment?Payment is handled securely within the app. A Gig Giver must have a valid credit or debit card on file to make a payment. After the gig is complete, the Gig Giver will follow simple steps to make a payment. No cash needed.
Steps to make a payment:
- Click on "Yes, pay now"
- Confirm the final price, and pay (you may edit the final price)
You will be paid through our payment processing partner, Stripe. A Gig Taker is required to have a valid bank account on file. After a gig is complete, the Gig Giver will follow steps to make a payment via a valid credit or debit card, to the Gig Taker.
You will be paid through our payment processing partner, Stripe. Stripe will bundle your transactions for the day and deposit them in your bank account 3 business days later. The very first transfer Stripe makes to your bank can take 7-10 business days to post. Additionally, if you update your bank account it can take 7-10 business days to post.
There is a 15% service fee per transaction, which AtoZ gigs collects from the Gig Taker. For example, for a $50 transaction, the Gig Giver will pay $50, the Gig Taker will collect $42.50, and AtoZ gigs will collect $7.50.
Yes, you can edit the price of a gig on the Payment screen. Use the pencil icon to change the price.
Tips are optional, but always appreciated! If you feel your Gig Taker has done an excellent job, we recommend adding one! Our tip feature is coming soon, but you do have an option to edit the price on the Payments page to include a tip.
Once the gig is complete, both parties should take action to complete the gig. If this is not done, then the Gig Giver will receive an alert notification every 12 hours as a reminder to follow steps to complete the gig.
Disputes
How do the Gig Giver and Gig Taker contact each other?At the time a gig has been added by a Gig Giver, any potential Gig Taker can initiate a chat using our chat feature ("Talk It"). Once a gig has been accepted by both parties, the Gig Giver and Gig Taker can continue to chat with each other directly.
We hope this is a rare occurrence, but you can directly talk to the Gig Taker by using the chat feature ("Talk It") in the AtoZ gigs app. If you still aren't able to get in touch with your provider, please contact us at help@atozgigs.com.

If you have not already, please attempt to contact them using the chat feature ("Talk It") in the AtoZ gigs app. If you still aren't able to get in touch with your Gig Taker, you may delete the gig at any time, and add a new gig, or, go to the gig details, and select "No" to the questions "Is Your Gig Complete?". Then you may select the option "Provider did not show or refused to work." Then you will be able to edit the gig and submit again. Otherwise, please contact us at help@atozgigs.com.

Ratings & Reviews
How does the star rating system work?At AtoZ gigs, we use a two-way star rating system. After a gig is complete, both the Gig Giver and Gig Taker are prompted to rate each other on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, 5 being the best. If you feel that you have been rated unfairly, please let us know at help@atozgigs.com.
You can see your rating when you navigate to your profile. Go to "Profile" > "Reviews".
After a gig is complete, and both parties rate each other, writing a more detailed review is optional. Simply use the free form text box that is provided to write a more detailed review.
Profile & Settings
How do I edit my profile information?Go to "Profile" > "Edit Profile"
Go to "Profile" > "Edit Profile" > "Change my password"
At the bottom of the email notification, there is an option to unsubscribe.
Go to "Profile" > "Payments", and click on "Add Card". If you wish to change your card, then you must delete your existing card on file, and then add a new card. Also, if you have a gig in-progress then you may not update your card on file at that time.
Go to "Profile" > "Payments", and click on "Setup payment method". You may also edit your payment method.
